About the project
Virginia is located 220 kilometers east-northeast of Hermosillo, Sonora and is a potential epithermal style precious metal mineralization. Gold and silver mineralization at La Virginia occurs in breccias, veins and stockworks, hosted primarily by andesitic volcanics, often in close spatial association with, or intersecting pre-mineral dacite dykes and controlled by fractures and faults that define the regional structural trend. The Silver Viper Reconnaissance Program identified key targets and trends of primary interest and subsequently filed strategic claim reductions to achieve the current project area of 6,882 hectares.
By the end of the 2020 phase of work at La Virginia, Silver Viper had completed a total of 100 drill holes for a combined footage of 27,021 meters through the project. Exploration drilling continues at La Virginia using a single diamond drill rig supplied by Hermosillobased drilling contractor, Globexplore Drilling Corp. The company’s drilling to date draws on a large database of recent historical work, including 52,635 meters of drill core from 188 diamond drill holes, generated by the efforts of previous operators between 2010 and 2013. expands its work by continuing exploration north and south in promising untested lands.
QA / QC
The drill intersection analytical results reported by Silver Viper represent HQ or NQ2 diameter diamond drill core halves samples submitted directly to Bureau Veritas, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. The samples were crushed, divided and pulverized according to the Bureau Veritas PRP70-250 method, then analyzed for gold by fusion of pyrotechnic tests of collection of lead on a division of 30 grams with AAS finish, and for a multi-suite. elements comprising silver by multi-acid digestion with ICP-ES / MS Finish. Samples triggering precious metal exceedance thresholds of 10 g / t Au or 200 g / t Ag were retested by fusion of lead collection pyrotechnics with gravimetric finish (method code FA530. Silver Viper monitors QA / QC using commercially sourced standards and locally sourced blank materials inserted into the sample sequence at regular intervals.
Silver Viper owns all current and historical diamond drill core and pulp samples generated on the property since 2010. The Company has performed a review of historical drill data through physical checks of existing drill rigs and core samples. drill and checked the grade intervals by portable XRF on core and pulp samples. Silver Viper further confirmed the veracity of the historical data through the diamond drilling of ten core holes at Las Huatas, Con Virginia, and the northern extension of the El Oriental target areas. This work confirms the accuracy of the location and ranges of mineralization as reported by the 2010-2013 database.
