SILVER CREEK – The Elders of Silver Creek gathered on October 12 with 27 members in attendance.

President Newman welcomed Deanna Borrello. He then opened the reunion with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing America the Beautiful. Pauline Flitt read “Then comes October” and offered prayers for members and food. Cakes and ice cream were served to celebrate birthdays in September and October. Deanna then spoke about the “Walk-thon from stop 22” to be held on October 16, starting at VFW and ending there after 22 minutes. Several of our members signed up for the walk.

The 50-50 winners were Carol Prowse, Claudia Hebb and Betty Moores. Prizes were won by Pauline, MaryAnn Seibert, Deanna, Jean McDaneld, Joan Militello and Carol. The lucky Wheel of Fortune winners were: Jim Spano, Deanna, Ed, Bob Sutehall, Lorrie Newman, Janice Snyder, Jean, Carol, Eleanor Lemiszko and Claudia. Janice called the bingo and the winners were: Pauline, Sherry Spano, Marge Church, Jean (3 times), Joan Suski, Judy Hahn, Jim and Carm Tampio.

Next Tuesday will be “Silent auction” daytime. Brown bag lunches and desserts will be on the menu for the day. The meeting ended with singing “Fairy tales can come true.”
