Lara Logan: Cartels ’emboldened’ by open borders, lax enforcement as Harris visits El Paso

Fox Nation investigative journalist Lara Logan, host of “No agenda”, flew by helicopter with former Texas Ranger Jaeson Jones to investigate the dire situation that continues to be exacerbated along the southern border as Vice President Harris visited a site hundreds of miles upstream in El Paso.

Jones told Logan in the “Hannity” exclusive that the cartels continue to fight for control of border areas on the Mexican side and that they are creating their own telecommunications system that rivals the US and Mexican authorities.

Logan has said that President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s government, or AMLO, is primarily controlled by the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel (CJNG), which is growing stronger as northward trafficking and financial windfall escalates.

“When you talk to law enforcement officers who were at the border for years and also to cartel specialists, counterintelligence people; they all say the same thing, what you see is is that the Biden administration is not doing it that they took action to create the situation, ”she said.

“They know full well what everyone I have spoken to knows that cartels are the most dynamic, violent and extremely powerful and sophisticated.”

Logan said experts on the ground determined that Mexico is now essentially a failed state run instead by private interests – in this case, illicit drug and human trafficking cartels.

“Mexico is truly a NarcoState and there was one cartel in particular – CJNG – which became the de facto government in Mexico.”

“The AMLO government takes its orders from this particular cartel more than any other according to these sources,” she said of CJNG, which is headed by Baron Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, aka El Mencho.

Oseguera Cervantes is Mexico’s most wanted man and fifth on the U.S. government’s list, according to the DEA.

“There are a lot of new players that we don’t know – and they bring their own communications, so the way they marry the two, I’m told, is by bringing in their crews, their own big hitters and having their own internal communications, ”Jones said.
