Interstate drug mafia cartel busted in Srinagar

Srinagar March 12: (KNS) Police claimed on Saturday that they broke up an interstate drug mafia cartel, arrested five drug traffickers along with thirty-five thousand (35,000) Spasmo power of attorney capsules and 70,200 rupees produced narcotics at Srinagar

According to a press release published at Kashmir Information Service (KNS)Srinagar Police as part of their fight against the threat of drugs cracked down on drug traffickers and arrested five (5) notorious interstate drug traffickers along with thirty five thousand (35,000) Spasmo proxy capsules and 70,200 rupees of narcotics.

Those arrested are, Tariq Ahmad Wango S/O Ab Khaliq R/O Chinkral Mohalla Srinagar. , Manzoor Ahmad Mir N/A Ghulam Mohammad Mir, Mohammad Iqbal Mir N/A Noor Mohammad Mir, , Tariq Ahmad Sofi N/A Mohammad Afzal Sofi All residents of Tengpora Byepass Srinagar, Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh @ Vicky N/A Ghulam Mohammad R / O Zaindar Mohalla.

They were arrested from a vehicle number HR26 BA-5606 in which they were traveling after a specific entry was generated by Karalkhud Police Station about the movement of these notorious drug traffickers around the SRTC bridge at Karalkhud.

These peddlers head to other neighborhoods for the delivery of the illegal shipment.

It is pertinent to mention that Tariq Ahmed Wango is already involved in six FIRs in different police stations in Srinagar district and was also deposed under the Public Security Act in 2019.

Subsequently, a case under FIR No. 8/2022 u/s 8/22, 27 (A), 29 NDPS Act is being filed at Kral Khud Police Station and an investigation has been undertaken to identify and untangle all the back and forth channels of this illegal interstate trade.(KNS)
