Ghanaian business tycoon, Daniel McKorley, popularly known as ‘McDan’, has revealed he didn’t get rich on a silver platter.

Many people regard wealthy business gurus as people who have easily achieved success in life.
Speaking at the Youth Connect Series at Kwame Nkruma University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the CEO of McDan Group of Companies said he had failed many times in life and his failures had succeeded .

“I failed in many ways. I have created so many companies and they have collapsed. I once created the biggest car garage in the world, but it collapsed. My auto shop manager also opened the same at a different location where he ordered all customers to meet him on Sundays for service. I found all my missing tools at his place. “McDan told Kwesi Parker Wilson, host of the show.

He said; there is a principle in business and that is; “Don’t touch what you can’t handle.”
He lamented that human resource management is the difficult part of doing business in Ghana.

When asked what made him move after failing so many times. McDan said; “Successful people don’t quite make it. You can never be a failure. In your failures you must find joy, they are all experiences.
He claimed that in his life he learned from his failures.

“Every failure has taught me a lesson and from that lesson it has made me a better person, which is why young people in this country love what I do.” He said.
