A Central American smuggler spoke exclusively and anonymously to investigative journalist Sara Carter about his illicit trade and the real state of the US-Mexico border, which he says is controlled by Mexican cartels, not by either government at this point.

Carter told Fox News the trafficker voluntarily agreed to the interview in part because even with his role in the open borders crisis, he was uncomfortable with the plight of foreign children smuggled into the United States.

“I’m the guy who takes people to the United States – immigrants, to be exact,” the man told Carter.

“I like to take the risk doing it, and I knew people would make a lot of money out of it.”

The unidentified criminal organization he works for has a sort of pipeline from El Salvador to the United States, he said, adding that it becomes more dangerous when Mexican cartels get involved further down the line.

“It’s more risky because once we get to the cartels, they’re asking for kids, to do drug dealing and stuff. So it’s definitely more risky,” he said.

The smuggler said it was “horrible” to see children being murdered by cartels while transporting human cargo in their mass trafficking operations, adding that “it really scares them to see the reality that ‘they can cross’.

Asked if political leadership or “all-out war” would be needed to loosen the cartels’ grip on the U.S. border under the Biden administration, the smuggler replied, “There is no going back. back”.

“They already have so much power. The cartels that he thinks it’s too late to stop them,” he said.

In response to the interview, Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera said no one “can deny the scope, scale and horror” of the border crisis.

He added that these smugglers are now nicknamed “polleros” or “chicken farmers” as the illicit act becomes more widespread.

Rivera called for an “Ellis Island” in the south to facilitate legal entry for asylum seekers while securing the border from illegal and criminal elements.

Rep. Chip Roy, a Republican whose Texas district is a little north of the border, added that it’s incredible to see New York City Mayor Eric Adams “complaining” about a few hundred migrants being transported by buses to the Port Authority while his region handles 8,000 a day.

He added that District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser, who is also complaining about migrants being bused in an area not far from Union Station and the Fox News office in Washington, should also understand what his liberal policy has done over the country.
