Chandigarh airport finds silver linings as international wings remain cut off Chandigarh news

MOHALI: The coronavirus pandemic has hit Chandigarh International Airport, reducing attendance to 50% with just 4,000 to 5,000 passengers boarding and disembarking on 23 flights. Banning international flights doesn’t help either. The airport only has two flights for Dubai which have yet to resume.
The central government has not lifted the ban on international flights as a result of which flights to Dubai and Sharjah have not resumed, an official spokesperson said. Previously, Chandigarh was connected to Bangkok, but the flight was canceled due to a non-viability factor.
