The Arizona-based Cartel Coffee Lab, which is known for sourcing, roasting and brewing flavorful coffees and cold brews, is launching a new menu on Monday, June 7.
We also get a look at some of the new menu items – the first major menu change for the company since opening thirteen years ago.
From the first location in Tempe, Cartel Coffee Lab has opened a few locations in Arizona (two in Tucson), Texas and California. The menu will be available at each location, which celebrates the flavors of the Southwest while “focusing on Cartel’s sourcing philosophy of sourcing quality ingredients from local artisans.”
“We wanted to create a menu specially designed for the enjoyment of the townspeople of the desert,” said Jesse pangburn, integrator of Cartel Coffee Lab. “These drinks are intentionally designed to be refreshing on hot summer days while focusing on specialty coffee.”
The enhanced drink menu will include options such as CCL, a shaken coconut caramel latte that contains vegan caramel from Nami-Green, and Lazy Saturday, a cold concentrated coffee mixed with Iconic Cocktail Co. Bitter orange tonic and seltzer water.
“We’re also completely changing our bakery menu for the summer and adding burritos to elevate our customers’ food options,” Pangburn said. “Our hope is that these changes will lead our customers to have even more meaningful culinary experiences with us. “
New bakery menu available at Tucson branches to include mouthwatering delicacy Matcha blueberry pie pop and one Jasmine peach bread which contains tea from Maya Tea.
A few other new items you’ll find on the menu, which will be unveiled on Monday, June 7, include a Hatch Chili Bagel Bomb, Pesto scones, and Cocoa Confetti Cookie.
Both Tucson sites are open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
