Bolstered by recent appearances of the Air Jordan 1 Low LV8D – which placed a platform sole beneath the familiar OG-inspired colorways – the “LV8D” in its name seemed to stand for literal height. But with its new offering, Jordan Brand is taking a more figurative approach, as they provide the modified silhouette with not only gold and silver hits, but also beaded accessories.
Luxurious in its palette, most of the upper is riddled with silver overlays, the panels of which display a chain-link fence-like imprint. Gold accents arrive alongside, though they leave a more subtle impression by marking the heel and its minimal version of the iconic Wings logo. Light gray leathers then dress adjacently – marking the Swoosh, toe cap and stays – while black colors in the base and tongue, the latter of which visually backlights the removable beaded straps.
